If there is something not working correctly or an issue in your home! We want to get it fixed! We ask that residents submit a work order for any issues encountered in the home. A work order is a document that provides all the information about a maintenance task and outlines a process for completing that task.
The most important things about a work order are:
You can submit 24 hours a day! Encounter a non-emergency issue after hours? Submit a work order! Notice an issue right before you run out the door for work? Submit a work order!
They keep everyone honest! Work Orders log issues in our system, and notate the time and date of submission and verify that you submitted the work order personally. Even if a work order is cancelled, it is still recorded in our system. This allows our team to track and diagnose issues long-term, and protects you by ensuring that reports are always documented.
We don't live with you. We like you, but that would be kinda creepy. We need you to tell us if there are issues, because we don't know that there is a problem if you don't tell us! Mind reading costs extra, y'all!
You can notify us of your schedule in the Work Order. Let us know when you are available so we can schedule with you! If you don't have a pet, you can let us know that we can enter, making repairing the issue in-house a dream! If you have a pet, let us know about your schedule so we can get you on the calendar ASAP!
It helps us connect you with specialty vendors! As a reminder, we do not release keys to vendors, so if we need to get you a plumber, electrician, HVAC tech, or other specialized vendor, you will need to work with them directly to schedule that appointment. The Work Order system will send you emails with their contact info as well as reminders via text to help keep those appointments on track!
You can attach pictures! Pictures speak volumes- and let's be honest, not all of us know what the doo-hickey does to make the what-cha-call-it work. We just know it is supposed to work. By submitting a picture, you can skip all the jargon, and our team can see the issue and resolve it faster for you!
By notifying us of small issues, you can help prevent more disruptive issues that will inconvenience you if they are left to get worse! Also, you can potentially be considered responsible if you ignore major issues and do not report them to Palm Property. If you neglect to give us important information and the issue gets worse, you can be responsible for damages, and we want to prevent that!
Submitting work orders limits issues, inconveniences, and most importantly, helps us keep the home safe and healthy! We want to make sure that your home is comfortable and safe, but we need you toilet us know if there are any issues!
Once all the terms of the work order are completed, it can be closed. Once closed, the work order is filed away, but the record still exists so if the issue re-occurs we can track it!The Team at Palm Property is here to help you, but we can only help with the things we know about!
