How we got started
With over 20 years in real estate investment and property management experience, our team commits to the Platinum Promise. We treat every home and investment with the attention it deserves.
PPM grew from a group of property managers who saw a greater need to go above and beyond standard property management and creating a real estate investment company to address the higher expectations of 21st Century Investors.
Our Structure
With a small team, PPM has a relatively family-like structure. Our Company was established as Claxton Properties expanded into property management services for other real estate investors in 2014. Our team consists of two generations of property managers and a combined 42 years of experience.
Long-term, our goals include multiple businesses, allowing our team to offer in-house services at competitive prices for our owners.
Right now, our team consists of three main departments:
- Accounting
- Leasing
- Operations
These departments work collaboratively to address the needs of owners, vendors, and residents.
The Culture
Our team focuses on being proactive and preventing problems before they happen- so we can spend more time having fun.
- Proactivity is not just passing the responsibility back to the tenant, but offering a solution. Positive Experience has to be 2 sided, and the office has to be able to empathize with tenants.
- Upset Tenant due to rental verification with truthful information about late payments, suggested/advised presenting new landlord with tenant ledger, so they would not be shocked by our feedback.
- Tenant stated that they got ringworm from shed, tech notified office, what are our next steps?
We strive to be the kind of family-oriented workplace where your team has your back. You should be able to be open and honest professionally, in a way that is non-personal and non-emotional. We see each other’s needs and don’t disregard them, but the job is the priority. We take our jobs seriously, but we make a point not to take ourselves too seriously.
We say we have a pretty flat hierarchy, and that is because all team members do job roles at expert level. Everyone has the ability to lead and follow as the project demands.
